Birthday roundup ’18
Yo guys I had a birthday again, and I’m 29! It’s also been a year since I went on a surprise trip to the zoo and Will proposed to me! Of course we got married recently so that’s kind of a bigger deal.
On my birthday itself, we had nachos (best food) while Jodi came over to watch Terrified (Aterrados) on Shudder with us. It definitely dun’ me an alarm! An actress in it is called Elvira, which is an interesting name you don’t see very much of!
I wound up screaming when a guy’s bed moved along the floor because I didn’t notice he was pushing it himself.
As usual I got lots of great presents, including Friends Trivial Pursuit! I’d never played Trivial Pursuit in any form before so it was certainly exciting.

I spent a lot of the day just chilling out and watching a longplay of Project Zero 4, which is a bit old now but it was never released outside Japan. Dat spoop!
My sister came up the next day and gave me further presents. Guess what?! My sister bought me a replacement PS3!! I am overjoyed at finally being able to play original Tomb Raider again.

At the weekend Will threw a party for me and I had fun. Went to bed disappointingly early because I was falling asleep sitting there, apparently that’s just my life now!

Hanukkah and Christmas are upon us already! We decorated on December 1st as always.

I finally trimmed my hair. Not dramatically shorter, because I’d look worse, but enough so that it’s slightly easier to manage. Still very little of my hair is new growth that won’t have had relaxer on it last year, so I think it’s going to be a long time before I have perfectly healthy hair.

I ordered 2019’s bullet journal/ planner/ notebook/ everything. I decided to try A4 size this year, and told myself it’s OK because my over-notebook pencil case will fit on it sideways. It looks like the notebook is slightly larger than A4 so that might not work after all, whoops!

I hope real-life people know that they are always welcome in our house during special occasions. I strongly believe that Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and Boxing Day are days that you absolutely should not be alone so, if you have nowhere to be, don’t be afraid to reach out to us. We will definitely feed you!
