Nephilim, a giant bee, and confusing plants
Hello everyone; first things first, I should probably mention that I’m doing a charity stream on May 31st! You can watch me race against T_Kitty_ via this link. I don’t expect to win, or even necessarily to finish – because I’m pretty sure REmake 3 kicked my ass last time – but hopefully it will help.

Our flowerbed has burst into life and lots of things are starting to flower. The problem is, I can’t really tell some of the plants apart anymore. The foxgloves and the lupins look really similar until they flower. The hollyhock leaves I can recognise, although none of them have flowered just yet. I’m not sure any delphiniums made it (although I also confuse those with lupins, so, who knows), Will might’ve thought they were weeds because of the leaf shape. Or maybe none of them survived as seedlings. Or maybe they all did.
There’s a plant growing that I don’t recognise at all, I probably won’t until it flowers, but it doesn’t quite look like a weed so we’re leaving it for now. I’m hoping it will turn out to be one of our bat-friendly wildflowers. Sadly I think all the nicotiana from last year died off and/or weren’t perennial after all. And there have been plenty of frogs bobbing around in the wildlife pond!

I finished Angel of Darkness on stream this past weekend, which concludes my stream run of Tomb Raider IV-VI Remastered. It’s kind of sad to finish it, because it’s the end of the original (and best, in my opinion) Lara’s story. If I remember correctly, AOD was originally meant to be a trilogy in itself, but it kind of failed commercially and Core Design lost the franchise. If things had been different, and they hadn’t had to continually pump-out unfinished games, who knows, we might still be on the original Lara’s story.
Next I’ll probably start doing the Legend-Anniversary-Underworld trilogy. Which was the first reboot, changing Lara’s backstory (and her house) although she was still recognisably Lara Croft for the most part. And then there was another reboot altogether in 2013. I actually haven’t played the third game in that trilogy before, but at this point I may as well wait until I reach it on stream.

Of course, The Last Revelation and Chronicles had plenty of moments of their own.

I did continue with Atomfall off-stream, although it’s been a while since I caught up with it. I intend to get a video up of it at some point, although I’m in the middle of a Code Veronica edit right now.

I finished Post Trauma but remained pretty confused by the whole thing throughout. It wore its Silent Hill influences very plainly though. It’s not a bad game, but it has some jankiness, and my computer was DYING trying to run it. Yes, I in general need to get a better graphics card, but come on, man.

I also tried out the Phasmo easter event, but got very confused about exactly what I was meant to do with all the ghostly jackalopes. I thought last year I was meant to try and get photos of them, but they got mad when I did that and the photos never counted as anything in the journal, but I’m probably misremembering.

As always, there have been more Fallout shenanigans. There’s a new event about fighting a giant bee named Beezlebub. I am not good at it. Feels like we only just got out of the Enclave season, but a whole other new one should be starting again in a couple of weeks. Apparently it might introduce fishing, I’m not sure how I feel about that, lol. It won’t be like Stardew fishing, right?
